SPECIAL ISSUE of 2016 (December)


-Approaches to training, treatment and teaching of children with ASD.

The prevalence estimates for children with ASD diagnosis are increasing. With those increases comes an increased need for information on educational advances to best serve a growing population of students.  In the upcoming special issue of International Electronic Journal of Elementary Education (IEJEE), several invited researchers will address different areas of methodological advancement regarding training, treatment, and teaching of children with ASD.

Children with ASD are a heterogeneous group. Those who are involved in their training, treatment and teaching require reliable, practical, theoretically grounded, and evidence-based approaches to meet highly individualized needs.

Children with ASD deserve high quality psychological and pedagogical support. The support should begin as early as possible and continue to so that children learn the behaviors, skills, and knowledge that allow them to realize their potential. We hope this special issue of IEJEE will be an important contribution to the field and to those providing services to children with ASD.

This special issue will only have invited papers.
